Join the staff app beta

Install the Zimtig app on your iPhone, iPad or Android phone before launch: one button per platform and a few steps.

The staff app is in beta: it already works for serving your customers, and we're polishing it with restaurants like yours. Pick your platform, tap the button and follow the steps. It takes about five minutes, once per phone.

Before you start

  • An iPhone or iPad with iOS 18 or later, or an Android phone with Android 8.0 or later.
  • The email you use to sign in to your restaurant's dashboard. You sign in to the app with the same account.
  • On Android, a Google account to accept the invitation. It can be a different one from your dashboard's.
  • Everyone on your team installs the app on their own phone. Share this page with whoever needs it.

On iPhone or iPad

  1. Install TestFlight

Open the App Store, search for TestFlight (Apple's app for trying apps before they launch) and tap Get. It's free.

  2. Open the beta link

On the iPhone or iPad, tap the iPhone and iPad button on this page. TestFlight opens.

  3. Accept and install

    Tap Accept, then Install.

  4. Open Zimtig

The app is on your Home Screen, with an orange dot next to its name that marks it as a beta. Open it and sign in with your dashboard account.

On Android

  1. Open the invitation

On your phone, tap the Android button on this page. Firebase's invitation opens; Firebase is the Google service we use to share the beta. If it asks, sign in with your Google account.

  2. Enter your email

Enter your email address and confirm. Within a few minutes you'll get an email from Firebase App Distribution with your invitation.

  3. Accept the invitation

Open that email on your phone, tap the button to get started and sign in with your Google account.

  4. Install App Tester if asked

Firebase offers App Tester, its app for installing betas. Install it and sign in with the same Google account.

  5. Allow installs, just once

Android asks for permission to install unknown apps. Tap Settings and turn on Allow from this source for App Tester, or for your browser if you download from there. Then go back.

  6. Install Zimtig

In App Tester, tap Zimtig, then download and install it. Open it and sign in with your dashboard account.

Updates

You don't need to come back here. On iPhone and iPad, TestFlight tells you about each new version, and you can leave its automatic updates on. On Android, App Tester tells you and you update the app from there.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Nothing. The beta, TestFlight and App Tester are free.

What does it mean that it's a beta?

The app already works, but it may change and still have rough edges. If something fails, everything it does also works in Stamps, in the web dashboard. And let us know: it really helps.

I didn't get the Firebase email.

Check your spam and promotions folders, and that you typed your email correctly. If it doesn't show up within a few minutes, open the invitation again.

TestFlight says the beta is full or isn't accepting testers.

Message us and we'll send you a new link.

Do I need a separate account for the app?

No. You sign in with your dashboard account, and your role decides what you can do. See how to use the staff app.
